Harvested by a local community of fisherfolks is Bicol's most prized dried fish called New Look (also called Aswang in some localities because of its sharp teeth, which we take out during the packing).
This extra-special dried fish is also called Ligate Taba locally and has a smooth, oily finish. When fried to a golden brown color, it's crispy on the outside yet soft on the inside. It's not as salty as other dried fish and pairs perfectly with fried rice, eggs, and freshly-sliced tomatoes.
